Accessibility Statement
How we make our website and our sessions work for everyone.
Our promise: we want every young woman to be able to use our website and take part fully in our sessions, including disabled people and people with additional needs.
1. Our website
We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This means you should be able to:
- zoom in up to 200% and still read everything
- move around the website using only a keyboard
- use a screen reader
- read clear, simple text with strong colour contrast
- understand pictures through written descriptions
2. What isn’t fully accessible yet
[LIST ANY KNOWN PROBLEMS, FOR EXAMPLE “SOME PDF WORKSHEETS DON’T WORK WELL WITH SCREEN READERS”. IF YOU DON’T KNOW OF ANY, WRITE: “We don’t know of any problems at the moment. If you find one, please tell us.”]
3. Our sessions
We can change how we do things so you can take part. For example, we can offer:
- large print or digital copies of the workbook
- extra time for activities
- breaks whenever you need them
- the option to step out or have a quiet space
- the choice to share in writing instead of out loud, or not to share at all
- your support worker, carer or a trusted person coming with you
- step-free venues, agreed with the organisation that booked the programme
Tell us what would help, before the programme starts or at any time during it. You don’t need to give a reason or share a diagnosis.
4. Other formats
If you need anything on this website in another format, such as large print, easy read or audio, email [TPS EMAIL]. We will reply within 5 working days.
5. Telling us about a problem
If something on our website or in our sessions is hard to use, please email [TPS EMAIL]. If you are not happy with our response, you can use our Complaints Policy, or contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS): equalityadvisoryservice.com or 0808 800 0082.
6. The law
We follow the Equality Act 2010, which says we must make reasonable changes so disabled people are not put at a disadvantage.
7. How we checked
We last checked this website on [DATE] by [HOW, E.G. “testing it ourselves with a keyboard and screen reader”].
